Ahead of carnival season comes V&A’s Friday Late: Hot Brazil on 27th January, celebrating the energy and ingenuity of Brazil through art, music, dance and plenty more from the likes of Paraíso School of Samba, Braziliality and João Brasil.
The CASA Latin American Theatre Festival returns for 2011, premiering six new works from theatre companies based in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica and Venezuela. The festival will take place from Monday 17th October until Sunday 23rd, and will also include the Nuestra CASA Scratch Festival, offering emerging artists the opportunity to display their work.
Brazilian dance company Grupo Corpo‘s take on clasical ballet has earnt them much praise since their formation in 1975. Across four nights at Sadler’s Wells they will be performing Ímã and Onqotô, two pieces featuring music by +2, Caetano Veloso
