El Paso Hoxton

Stepped out of work and feel like listening to good music in a pleasant atmosphere? El Paso is the place to go.

And what’s more, the food is great: from the hamburger beef, which is prepared following a secret recipe, to the house specialty, Mexican cuisine, nothing is ready-made; it’s all prepared on the spot by the restaurant’s cooks, minutes before being served. The food is all rather spicy, but not exaggeratedly so, to suit all tastes, as Ossie Mustafa, El Paso’s owner, explains. He also reveals that food is served throughout the day, which means that you can go to El Paso for lunch or just for a quick snack whenever you feel like it, because the whole menu is always available.

El Paso has been in Ossie’s family for the past 12 years, which is perhaps why he feels like it’s home, and why he treats customers as if they really were treasured guests. “I like all of my customers to feel right at home, which is why they can come here, have a beer, relax and put their feet up whilst listening to good music in a pleasant atmosphere”.

And it really is welcoming and tastefully done, with candles everywhere and music setting the perfect mood. He says that they play a bit of everything: jazz, MPB, rock and electro, depending on the time of day and the customers’ taste.

The basement has great acoustics, state of the art sound equipment and a stage. And even with a faithful clientele, Ossie’s got a lot of surprises up his sleeve, including a new range of dishes and drinks.

Tex-Mex and vegetarian dishes.
