The signature dish at Buen Ayre is any variation of their parrillada, a selection of meats, cheese and mushroom served on a hot grill. The grill, similar to a portable barbecue, uses smouldering hot charcoal to keep the meat hot throughout the meal at your table.

When it comes to Argentinian restaurants, the first thing you think of is succulent steaks. Constancia, which opened just over a month ago, carries on this proud tradition: steak is definitely the main attraction. The house specialty is Parrillada, grilled steak with chorizo and provolone cheese, served with French fries and fresh bread. Delicious.

Recently opened in Farringdon, Central London, A La Cruz is a very traditional Argentine restaurant and a great suggestion for barbecue lovers: it’s the only place in the UK with an asador, a fire pit surrounded by metal crosses used in Argentina to cook whole sides of meat.
