World Cup Carnival 2010

From 11th June to 11th July the iconic Shepherds Bush Pavilion is being transformed into a mecca to World Cup football and entertainment.

Making an appearance at the event on the 20th June is Sergio Mendes, one of Brazilian music’s great names and a super well respected musician with a huge back catalogue of hits (Mas Que Nada). Not to mention more recent fame with The Black Eyed Peas.

On the 20th of June. Sergio will be visiting The Brazil World Cup Carnival to compere proceedings, sign some copies of his new record ‘Bon Tempo’ and hopefully be tempted enough to play live with the present samba band.

His new record features remixes from the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Moto Blanco and Roger Sanchez and is the perfect soundtrack to the World Cup and warm summer evenings.

The event is open to all and is just £5 entry. You will get the chance to watch the Brazil games and several other games on a cinema size 16m screen, stadium 5.1 surround sound and continue the celebration at an after party with a late bar, live samba (Rodrigo Lampreia), outdoor terrace, BBQ, cocktails and DJ Otto.
