Brazilian Cinema Returns

It wasn’t that long ago that we had the Brazilian Film Festival of London but already we have a new season of Brazilian cinema lined up, with the Cinema of Brazil season taking Travel Stories as it’s theme. This means an exciting selection of road movies, migration themes and general explorations.

The season begins with an Opening Gala featuring the UK premiere of Silver Cliff, from director Karim Aïnouz. Also premiering in the UK are Pachamama, Take It Easy and Keep Cool, The Midday Sun, Budapest (based on the book by Chico Buarque) and Road to Ythaca. There will also be a screening of Cinema, Aspirins and Vultures, one of our personal favourite road movies and a real trip into the vast expanses of Northern Brazil.
