Street photography finds home in Bethnal Green
Roots & Rifts is an exciting art exhibition that brings together a unique group of artists from a variety of nationalities and diverse cultural backgrounds.
The show reflects the multiple experiences that living abroad can bring, such as the learning to adapt to different contexts and the need to question identity issues, as well as the particular inner journeys that each artist is forever following.
Thoughts, feelings, memories and observations are explored by the group through their art, and the categories of work include painting, photography, sculpture, installation, traditional and digital design, and mixed media.
Among them, Fabricio Pretti’s photography stands from the crowd. Through his artistic eye, the Brazilian captures and reveals the unexplored beauty, treasured moments, the miscegenation and the peculiar architecture where the old meets the new in every corner that’d otherwise go unnoticed by the rushed passerby across the busy and cosmopolitan London.
As a street photographer, Fabricio is willing to show the exciting London and the individual style out and about in this amazing city. Fabricio accepts that each person, moment or place has a rich history, which a single image can only hint at, but it’s the sum of his photos that gives his work its power. With inspiration at its peak, the contrast of this magical city offers Fabricio the ideal scenario for his art to blossom.“I want to explore the world, take and enjoy the best of it. Live on the edge of pleasure, seeing what can’t be seen.
Photography became part of my life: everything I see, everywhere I go, I think about how I can get a perfect shot. My goal is to learn, improve and take new challenges”, says the photographer Fabricio Pretti.
