Rio makes London go bananas

What happens when you let loose 30 artists from Rio? They go bananas! Or at least some of them do. “Tropical Clusters – The Banana Project” by Rio born graphic artist Breno Pineschi is part of the huge project that has just landed in town called “Rio Occupation London” that is happening from now until the Olympic Games in London 2012.

Commissioned by Rio de Janeiro’s State Culture Secretatiat and Executive Produced by People’s Palace Project and co-produced by BAC the formula seems simple:  30 Rio Artists, 30 Days in London.

Rio Occupation London will see 30 ground-breaking Rio artists occupy the vibrant streets, stages and squares of London during the London 2012 Olympic Games, working across the capital with UK-based artists as part of the London 2012 Festival. Based at Battersea Arts Centre and performing in venues across London from the V&A to V22.

The list of events has recently being release and is worth your while, check it out and if you see some bananas around town, take a picture and email us and we will include on this page!
