FILTER – a lens based exhibition

FILTER is a group exhibition featuring lens-based work by six international artists. We’re particularly excited about the presence of Andre Penteado who will be exhibiting his Brazilian Maids work.

The exhibition is being presented by Baylors & Diamond aka Victoria Ahrens and Giuseppina Esposito, two of the artists who will be exhibiting work. The exhibition explores ideas of ‘suspension’ and documentation and the blurring of boundaries between the real and the fictitious as seen through the ‘filter’ of a combination of processes.

The other featured artists are Gaia Persico, Gabriella Sacisi, Kim Thornton and Andre Penteado. Penteado, from São Paulo, will be exhibiting his new Brazilian Maids series, an ongoing project of photographs of Brazilian maids taken in São Paulo in 2009 and 2011.
