Design with an ethical edge

A new interiors accessories collection that uses “ethical” fabrics from Brazil is being launched this January at the Maison et Objet fair in Paris.

Supported by the British European Design Group, MUMO only works with socially and environmentally responsible supply chains when creating its textiles, fabrics, cushions and throws.

The design input for this new collection was the result of a competition between graduates from different colleges in the UK, that had Wallpaper Magazine, Heal’s and WGSN among the judges.

Students were briefed to use the material provided by MUMO to design a cushion using Brazil and post-tropical retro as the theme.
